While I was installing the Ugly Jesus art show, a man came up and spoke to me. He asked if this art work was blasphemous.
I was prepared for a "good talking to" but he was really a nice guy, actually, a pastor. I told him that this project was more about art and media interpretations of Jesus than it was about Jesus himself.
He understood and spoke of a very tough Jesus to his church. I agreed because there is no record of Jesus begging for his life before Pilot. Jesus was indeed a tough guy, both mentally and physically even if he may have been ugly.
